My Second New Year

It’s still early in February so I think I still can wish a Happy New Year and also Happy Spring Festival to all of you

Last time I wrote I didn’t have any tooth at all, but now I have six of them and many more to come.

My Mommy and Popo think I am a smart girl, because I can answer a lot of questions and I can count to 10. Look Mom and Po, I am 1 year and 3 months old of course I can do that stuff.

Budding teeth, growing appetite!

I started eating solids when I was exactly six months old, and look now, those teeth have just started to emerged from beneath my gums like the tip of an iceberg sticking out from below the sea!

This is so exciting. Pretty soon I’m going to be chomping on those cheese crackers I really, really love!

First day of a wonderful year

This is my first new year. I woke up this morning feeling much, much better than I was last night, while Mommy and Popo were still asleep. I felt a little lonely, but I knew they had a bit of difficult time the night before, trying to put my fussy self to sleep. I felt kind of bad about giving them a hard time last night, but I guess you’d kind of expect it being a parent of an almost-two-month-old girl. When Mommy woke up, she went straight toward my crib, looking panicky. "No Mommy, I’m feeling much, much better now, "I thought to myself.
	She went to me, reached down and touched my forehead with the palm of her hand. "How are you feeling now, sweetie?"
I’m feeling a lot better now, thanks to a very good night sleep I just had, Mom. The DPT vaccine did get me a little grumpy and feverish, but right now all I’m feeling is a craving for that tasty milk. Yes Mommy, I am giving you my wonderful toothless smile, because you are getting ready to feed me with your breast milk. I think it’s actually going to be a wonderful first year for me.

Tough day, better next year

It was a pretty tough day. I slept a lot less today, probably too little for somebody my age. Mommy and Popo couldn’t figure out why I was a bit fussy throughout the day. And in the evening, it was my schedule to meet the pediatrician, Ms. Evita at the Brawijaya Women and Children Hospital. I had to take the DPT vaccine shot at the thigh, and that was nasty! Afterward we went back home, and then while Mommy and Popo had dinner I threw up some of Mommy’s breast milk. That was also pretty nasty, because the milk somehow got into my nose, and Popo had to suck it out.

Well anyway it’s my first new year’s eve, and I was finally able to get some good night sleep.

Less sleep, less trouble for Mommy and Popo

Mommy and Popo noticed I’ve had less sleep than I did before. People say I should be sleeping 15 to 16 hours a day. My, that’s quite a long slumber. But hey, Mommy and Popo said that I’ve always been a nice baby, and sleeping less during the day means sleeping more through the night and less trouble for the two of them.

Hi everyone! I’m a baby girl born on 3 November 2007. I’m 8 weeks old now. I weigh 5.5 kg and measure 55 cm long. I’ll be posting things that my Mommy and Popo see as I grow up.
